May Madness

I know, I know... The madness month is technically March. But I am thinking May 2012 deserves the "mad" title. 15 days in, and May has already been jam-packed. For one, I finished my first year of law school! Yay! Just have to wait a month or so to discover how I did in my classes. There really is no way to tell until then. I am just happy to start reading "for fun" again! First on the list: Belong to Me by Marisa de los Santos. Also, I have moved into what will be Tyler and I's "home" for a couple of years. We found a nice little duplex not too far from my apartment. Thankfully, my father and brothers were kind enough to make the trip up and help Tyler this past weekend. The four boys were in charge of moving on their own... Miraculously (j/k...kind of), everything was moved in one piece. Mom and I were out on this one; it was bachelorette weekend for me!

Now, bachelorette weekend came at the perfect time. Not too close to the wedding and immediately following the conclusion of two grueling weeks of finals. My bridesmaids and I had been planning a day of shopping followed by dinner and party time. My mother and her good friend, Mary, made the trip up from Wichita as well as my maid of honor, Rachel; my two bridesmaids, Jaime and Mary; and Jaime's friend, Jessica. A few of my law school girlfriends and my future sister-in-law, Megan, joined us from Topeka.

Shopping was a definite success... We stuck to the Plaza. I am definitely a fan of H&M. Great clothes for an even better price. Dinner was also an excellent choice: Bucca di Beppo. I recommend it. Make sure you bring your appetite. I also went out at Power and Light for the first time. My experience with P&L had been limited to K-State games. A night out might come close to the excitement of college basketball. Maybe. Really, thank you to Rachel and Jaime for planning the weekend and to everyone else who was able to join us! I had a great time! I will leave you with a couple of pictures. As usual, I forgot my camera so I borrowed these from Jaime.

Thanks, Bucca, for the sign!
